Stor klaveraften

– Og genhør med ung strygesekstet

Russiske Arcadi Volodos begyndte først som 16-årig sine formelle studier som pianist (hvor de fleste andre der når langt på instrumentet begynder før de starter i skolen). Ikke desto mindre sprængte han alle skalaer ved sin Carnegie Hall debut som 24-årig med sin vanvittige virtuositet – hør bare hans transskription af Mozarts berømte Alla Turca. Debuten blev senere udgivet på Sony Classical. Men Volodos har udviklet sig fra sit image som ren über-virtuos til at være én af de pianister hvis repertoire rummer hele spektret. Fra ekvilibrisme til dyb inderlighed. Senest bevist på hans CD med Brahms klaverstykker, der modtog årets instrumentale Gramophone Award i 2018 og blev beskrevet i bladet med ordene: “Comparisons become irrelevant in such magically honest interpretations”, “A prize winner – if ever I have heard one”. Han er også én af de få pianister i verden hvor solorecitals fylder mest i koncertkalenderen. Så man kan glæde sig til en aften af de sjældne.

Eftermiddagen byder på et genhør med en ung strygesekstet der i bedste Hindsgavl-ånd består af repræsentanter for alle de tre skandinaviske lande. Sekstetten begejstrede publikum sidste år, og vender nu tilbage med Brahms sekstet om eftermiddagen og Schönbergs magiske ‘Verklärte Nacht’, der spilles kl. 23.00 i skæret fra stearinlys i slottets gamle stuer.
